Top 5 Contributing Factors to Workplace Culture

People are the heart of most organizations and provide the energy, initiative, and commitment necessary for organizations to achieve their business objectives. To achieve the highest performance from people, a great workplace culture is essential.

When the Thought Leadership League asked management to pick the most important factors that contribute to a great culture the top five responses were:

  • Clear and Effective Communication
  • Executive Team Commitment
  • Humility
  • Empathy
  • Integrity of Leaders

The top three most selected contributing factors relate to effective leadership, which reinforces the importance the executive teams have when it comes to creating great workplace cultures.

Interestingly, charisma was selected by only 16% of the participants, highlighting the fact that effective leadership begins with communication and commitment and has very little to do with charm.
